Privacy Policy
This site collects very little, and this page is the complete account of it. Two analytics cookies, no advertising trackers, and nothing sold to anyone.
Effective September 1, 2026
Who this is about
This policy covers qqstudio1.com, operated by QQ Studio Inc., a Delaware corporation working with restaurants in Chicago and New York. We are the party responsible for the information described here.
Questions, or a request to see or delete what we hold, go to hello@qqstudio1.com or (773) 789-9465.
The short version
Two things generate data here. You send us a contact form, or you browse the site and our analytics counts the visit. That is the entire list. We run two analytics tools: Vercel’s, which sets nothing and cannot connect one visit to the next, and Google Analytics, which sets the two cookies described below. We do not run advertising pixels, we do not build profiles, and we have never sold or shared personal information — there is no revenue model here that would be improved by doing so.
What we collect, and why
| What | When | Why we hold it | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your name, email, phone if you give one, restaurant name, current website, the services you ticked, and whatever you write in the message box | Only when you submit the contact form | To answer you, and to carry out the work if you go on to hire us | In our email while we are in contact, and afterwards as a record of the enquiry. Deleted on request |
| Page views, and a fixed list of interactions — which button was clicked, how far down the page you reached, which form field you touched first, which service chips you selected, whether a submission succeeded, and whether you used the phone or email link | Automatically, as you browse | To see which parts of the site work and which get abandoned | Vercel holds its copy in aggregate, with no identifier tying one visit to the next. Google holds its copy against a cookie ID for the retention window set on the property |
| Your IP address | With every request, as with any website | Delivering the page, and rate-limiting the contact form so it cannot be flooded | Held in memory for 60 seconds for the rate limit, plus whatever our host keeps in its own short-lived request logs |
One detail worth stating plainly, because most sites cannot: the analytics never receives what you type. When we record that you started filling in the form, we record which field you touched, not its contents. The only thing you enter that reaches analytics is which service chips you pressed, and how many optional fields you filled in.
Cookies
This site sets two cookies, both for Google Analytics. They are named _ga and _ga_JTFBFQ8EBR. They are set by this domain rather than by a third party, their only job is to tell whether two page views came from the same browser, and their default lifetime is two years.
Nothing else is stored. There is no advertising cookie, no personalisation cookie, and nothing is written to your browser’s local storage.
You can refuse them and lose nothing — the site behaves identically without them. Block googletagmanager.com in any content blocker, or install Google’s official opt-out extension.
We do not show a consent banner. If you would rather not be counted, the opt-out above takes effect immediately and needs nothing from us.
The typefaces are served from our own domain rather than fetched from Google at page load. Google Analytics, however, does tell Google you were here — that is what it is for, and we would rather say so than leave it implied.
Who else can see it
We keep the list of companies involved as short as we can. Each of these handles data on our behalf and for no other purpose:
- Vercel — hosts the site and provides the cookieless analytics described above.
- Google — provides Google Analytics, and receives the page views and interactions listed above along with the cookie ID that groups them into a visit. Google is based in the United States and processes this data on its own infrastructure.
- Resend — delivers your contact form submission to our inbox as an email.
- Our email provider — stores that email, the same way it stores any other message we receive.
- Google Voice — carries calls and messages to the phone number listed on this site, and keeps its own record of them.
Beyond those, we disclose personal information only if the law requires it. If the business is ever sold or merged, enquiry records could transfer with it; you would be told before that happened.
What you can ask us to do
Wherever you live, and regardless of which statute happens to cover you, we will honour all of the following. Email hello@qqstudio1.com and we will respond within 45 days.
- Tell you exactly what we hold about you, and where it came from.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it. The only thing we will keep is what we are legally required to, such as a record of an invoice.
- Send you a copy in a portable format.
- Stop contacting you. Replying “stop” to any email from us is enough.
We will not treat you differently for asking. Since we do not sell or share personal information, there is no opt-out of that to offer — it does not happen in the first place.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area: this site is aimed at restaurants in the United States, but the rights above mirror what the GDPR gives you. Our basis for handling an enquiry is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our basis for the cookieless aggregate analytics is a legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works. The Google Analytics cookies are a different matter: under UK and EU rules they call for your prior consent, and we do not currently operate a consent banner. We would rather tell you that than let you be counted without having agreed, so if that matters to you, please use the opt-out linked above.
How it is protected
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions go straight to email rather than into a database, which means there is no stored pool of enquiries to breach — the trade-off is that the data then lives in an inbox, protected by the account controls on it. Access is limited to the people at QQ Studio who need it.
No method of transmission is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. Please do not send anything genuinely sensitive through the contact form.
Children
This is a business-to-business site with no audience under 18 and no interest in one. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and it will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and move the effective date at the top. Anything that materially changes how we treat information already collected will be announced by email to the people affected, not only posted here.
